DigitalPersona Pro and DigitalPersona Pro Kiosk Support for Internet Explorer 7
Customers using DigitalPersona Pro or DigitalPersona Pro Kiosk with IE 7 please note the following:
DigitalPersona Pro Workstation v4.2 and Pro Kiosk v4.2 provide support for IE 7. To take full advantage of the benefits of Vista and IE 7, customers will need to upgrade to DigitalPersona Pro Workstation v4.2 and Pro Kiosk v4.2.
DigitalPersona Pro Workstation 4.0, 4.0.1 and 4.1.0 DO NOT support IE7.
DigitalPersona Pro Workstation software versions 3.2 to 3.5.1 and DigitalPersona Pro Kiosk software versions 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 DO support IE7, with the following caveats:
• IE7 must be used in single tab browsing mode only. Users can choose to disable Tabbed Browsing via the “Tools/Internet Options” property page.
• Template Support: For One Touch SignOn (OTS) and One Touch Internet (OTI) templates created with IE 6 to work with IE 7, patches must be applied to DigitalPersona Pro Workstation software versions 3.2 to 3.5.1 and Pro Kiosk software versions 1.0.2 and 1.0.3 installations. However, with those patches applied, logon pages with combo or list boxes will not be recognized.
• Note: Patches are unavailable for prior releases of both products.
Additional Information
To avoid having problems with IE 7, customers may instead choose to disable the automatic update to IE 7. Microsoft has made available, on its Web site, a Toolkit to Disable the Automatic Delivery of IE 7. Customers can download this toolkit and find more information about it at:
