DigitalPersona Legacy Support Update for DigitalPersona Pro for Active Directory
This update addresses legacy support issues for DigitalPersona Pro for Active Directory 3.x clients including DigitalPersona Pro Workstation for Active Directory v3.x and DigitalPersona Pro Kiosk for Active Directory v3.x when deployed in an enterprise with DigitalPersona Pro Server for Active Directory v4.x.x.

DigitalPersona supports the current and previous two software revisions of each DigitalPersona software product. If your product is not listed above, please contact Technical Support.
Installation Instructions
Please note, you must have administrator rights to install this software. All DigitalPersona Pro Servers in your environment must be v4.4.3 or better and should be patched.
1. Install the update by running DP04_02_003.exe on your server where DigitalPersona Pro Server for Active Directory 4.4.3 is installed. This installation will perform several steps, including the installation of a new DigitalPersona Administrative Template.
2. On Windows 2003/2008 Server, verify that the DCOM settings are correctly set by referring to the document "DP Pro DCOM Settings.pdf" that is included in the zip file noted above.
3. Next, you must set the newly installed DigitalPersona GPO ‘Digitally encrypt and sign security channel data’ to DISABLED. This will allow DigitalPersona Pro Workstation 3.x to successfully connect to DigitalPersona Pro Server for Active Directory v4.4.3.This new GPO is located in the "DigitalPersona Pro Server" administrative template. For more information regarding this GPO, please see the GPOs explanation tab.
4. To ensure the new GPO settings are applied, please reboot your server.
DigitalPersona strongly recommends that you upgrade all DigitalPersona Pro 3.x clients to release v4.4.3. Once upgraded, please set the GPO ‘Digitally encrypt and sign security channel data’ to ENABLED, in order to take advantage of the higher security offered by the DigitalPersona Pro Server for Active Directory v4.4.3.
