TouchChip modules provide a self-contained biometric matching system in a compact and cost effective package, getting you to market fast with proven biometric technology. These products use the TCD58 companion processor to capture fingerprint images, extract and match templates and communicate via USB, SPI or UART. They include integrated bezels for quick mechanical integration, and come pre-calibrated so you just plug them in and they work. They include a fast and accurate minutia matcher and can store and match up to ~100 templates. An optional gasket is available to provide ingress protection to IP63. These all-in-one solutions enable quick integration into devices such as mobile ID terminals, USB peripherals and door locks without porting algorithms. Options include: FIPS-201, SteelCoat for added durability, and 3.3v or 5v inputs.
TouchChip modules (TCET)
TCET is the latest version of our TouchChip modules. They provide a thinner package with improved bezel for simpler mechanical integration. These modules are electrically and software compatible with the 1st generation TCEF/TCES TouchChip modules, allowing for easy migration. At 3.6mm (0.15) thick, the TCET modules are the thinnest, lowest powered fingerprint capture and matching modules available today.

For USB applications, DigitalPersona offers the TCEF modules. These self-contained TouchChip modules provide image capture, extraction and matching with on-board TCD5x processor in a compact, cost effective package.
TouchChip Serial Modules (TCES)
For SPI or UART applications, DigitalPersona offers the TCES modules. These self-contained TouchChip modules provide image capture, extraction and matching with on-board TCD5x in a compact, cost effective package.
Swipe Embedded Module
When you want a flexible, cost effective, swipe-based fingerprint matching module, the TCESC4K is for you. This compact module puts a lot of value into a package that is only ~0.8 x 0.8 x 0.14 (~20mm x 20mm x 3.6mm). The TCS4K swipe sensor is 192 pixels wide, captures a 9.2mm wide image for excellent usability and includes SteelCoat for added durability. The on-board TCD5x processor captures fingerprint images, extracts and matches templates (up to ~100) and communicates via USB, SPI or UART. A low power finger detection circuit wakes the system in ~15ms, extending operating life in battery applications. Mechanical integration is easy with pre-drilled holes. Applications include USB tokens, door locks, safes, USB peripherals, automotive applications and other devices.
